$7500 Match Grant

Through our Tithe Fund, St. Paul’s has created a $7,500 matching grant to support the purchase of two portable buildings for the establishment of East Pasco Academy at Tommytown Prep. This new school is a ministry of Farmworkers Self Help (FSH) and Resurrection House Lutheran Church (Rez House).

This matching grant is an invitation to members of congregations across the Suncoast Conference, as well as your family and friends, to participate. Every dollar donated will be matched, up to $7,500, by St. Paul’s Tithe Fund.

Once the full $7,500 is raised, the combined total of $15,000 will be used to create a second matching grant for FSH and Rez House, allowing them to raise an additional $15,000 from additional sources.

All funds raised beyond these matches will go directly toward establishing the new school.

Our urgency comes from a unique opportunity. The portable school buildings are currently available to Rez House and FSH at half price. However, this opportunity will not last indefinitely. We must act quickly to secure them.

Rez House and FSH are already working to raise the $15,000 needed to access the second matching grant. With your help, we can meet this moment together.

The total cost to open the school is approximately $160,000. A natural question is how the remaining funds will be raised.

Evolution Institute, a longtime partner of Rez House and FSH, has played a vital role in building and sustaining their preschool ministry and continues to offer strong support. They are deeply committed to seeing the elementary school open in September 2027 and have already pledged to help furnish the school, as well as assist with credentialing and administrative costs.

The most immediate and critical need is securing the two portable buildings.  This is why we have taken on this project, creating a way to turn a modest grant into a transformational gift.
