From October 5 - November 9 we will set aside intentional time to reflect on the gift of faith and to ask important questions. What is faith? Why Jesus? Why the Church? Why Lutheran? and Why St. Paul's? The answers to these questions are our heritage of faith of which we are called to be good stewards. But stewardship is not only historical, it is contextual. Over the last 4 years, St. Paul's (and St. Matthias) have made bold and challenging disecerned decisions which will ensure the presence of our ministry in this area for years to come.
At this crossroads, as we wait for the sale of our property and continue to live into our new home at St. John's Episcopal, we are ready to seek God's vision for this congregation as we live into the beginning of the next 70 years.
We will draw the theme each week from the lectionary readings. We will hear witnesses from members of our congregation and we will share our faith stories with one another. During the week we are asked to participate in our Be Thou My Vision Devotional.
